The purpose of the Collaborative Activities to Promote Metabolomics Research Administrative Supplement is to increase and improve the nation’s ability to undertake metabolomics analysis in translational and clinical research to advance the understanding of human diseases that require specialized expertise in the metabolomics design. The program requires:

  • Biomedical research investigator and investigator with comprehensive metabolomics analysis experience collaboration.
  • Project must be distinctive from previous collaborative efforts.
  • Must propose a metabolomics study consistent with the scope of the parent research grant.
  • Collaborations must be interactive and personnel must be integrated into the research plan.
  • Fee-for-service only arrangements do not qualify for funding.
  • Duplicate proposal are prohibited.
  • The PD/PI or metabolomics collaborator must be available to attend the annual Common Fund Metabolomics Program meeting.

Awards are limited to $100,000 per application for a maximum of 12 months. Eligible participants include:

An application packet may be obtained from Grants.gov. Applications may be submitted online or mailed. This program does not have any cost sharing requirements. Applications must be complete and received before the deadline.
