This is a Small Business Innovation Technology Transfer Research (STTR) grant opportunity (PAR-14-088) for small business concerns (SBCs), with no more than 500 employees, to obtain Phase 2 research and development funding if they have already developed an innovative biomedical technology prototype and conducted a feasibility review.

This Phase 2 funding will cover testing the prototype for functional and commercial viability. Maximum funding is generally $150,000 for Phase 1 of the research project and $1,000,000 for Phase 2, with the potential for 50% more (up to $225,000 in Phase 1 and $1,500,000 in Phase 2) or even higher if the additional funding is determined to be justified or necessary.
