The Early State Development of Technologies in Biomedical Computing, Informatics, and Big Data Science program offers support for basic research efforts focused on biomedical computing, informatics, and Big Data Science along with the developing new software, tools, and other resources and applications that aid biomedical research. Proposals may be submitted for one or multiple topic areas listed:

- Analysis and modeling methodologies
- Computer science and statistical approaches
Typical award amounts of not more than $225,000 for Phase I projects and up to $1,500,000 for Phase II projects with project duration of up to two years. All applicants must meet the following criteria.
