Delaware Patent of the Month – March 2023
Collateral Opportunities, LLC has introduced a new method for displaying video, graphics, text, or virtual reality scenes to an individual while they receive a massage. The process involves securing a cushion member with a central opening or cutout to a massage table. A retaining shelf is then attached to the cushion member, providing a horizontally positioned surface to support an electronic device, such as a smartphone or tablet, with a display screen or virtual reality headset.
Once the device is in place, individuals lying face down on the massage table can enjoy watching videos, virtual reality scenes, graphics, text, or any other form of media displayed on the device while they receive a massage. The cushion member is also equipped with speakers that broadcasts audio associated with the media being displayed, further enhancing the experience.
This new invention by Collateral Opportunities provides a unique experience for individuals who want to relax while also being entertained. By incorporating technology into the massage experience, it’s easier to let go of outside stressors and fully embrace the relaxation provided by the massage.
For more than twenty years, the Collateral Opportunities team has focused on increasing the safety, productivity, and the operational efficiencies of healthcare organizations, large and small. The company prioritizes collaboration when building intelligent, creative tools that leverage emerging technologies to address some of the industry’s most serious challenges. This collaboration allows Collateral Opportunities to combine their technical expertise and healthcare experience with extensive development partnerships, soliciting guidance from subject-matter experts, end users, and stakeholders at all levels.
