Florida Patent of the Month – January 2023

Techno Coatings, Inc. has made a name for themselves in the aerospace finishing industry. The company’s solutions offer coatings and aerospace finishes that complement their 35 years of plating experience in private aircraft interiors. With this expertise, the company specializes in the creation and design of aircraft flooring architecture. They produce the elements and devices used to configure the flooring panels, creating an appearance of a solid and sturdy floor in any aircraft.

Techno Coatings has recently been granted a patent for a new aircraft flooring architecture that offers a highly efficient, effective and convenient technical solution for all the problems associated with aircraft flooring. A three-layer design uses a central core ply that creates a sturdy and durable flooring panel. The three-layer design also ensures the panel is capable of withstanding the pressure caused by fuselage pressurization and flight maneuvers, as well as temperature changes.

The unique design achieves the exact amount of displacement required to prevent permanent deformation of the floor panel, ensuring that the flooring panels remain sturdy and durable even as the underlying aircraft support structures shift during flight and landing.
