How the system works
The patented method sends ultrasonic tones from a device’s speaker. A built‑in microphone captures echoes. The system analyzes these echoes to confirm human presence, input gestures, and unique device components. If mismatches arise-like missing a human signature or device cues-the system flags suspicious activity.
Combating bots and replay attacks
The invention embeds unique watermark codes in ultrasonic signals. It identifies replay attacks when watermarks are missing or incorrect. The approach also applies machine learning to distinguish real user gestures from bots.
Real-world impact
This tool strengthens authentication on smartphones, kiosks, ATMs, and IoT devices. It offers a seamless layer of security by using hardware already available. It can detect tampering attempts without extra sensors.
