Idaho Patent of the Month – December 2022

As their name suggests, House of Design, LLC are experts in design. They have channeled their knowledge and capability towards developing dynamic automation products to simplify offsite construction. Construction workers are often faced with repetitive, dangerous, and physically demanding duties. Automating these lifts and motions can save a worker a lifetime of pain.

Building a roof includes lifting and installing trusses. Recently, the company has designed and patented a conveyor system that simplifies roof construction. The conveyor moves these trusses along, ensuring there’s no need to hand lift and transport the heavy objects. An engagement member hooks the truss and moves it along the conveyor slide. The design allows for a really narrow conveyor and the transportation of narrow objects.

House of Design’s robotic solutions increase production capacity with the same number of people, reducing the stress on the team while increasing outcomes. Automation not only improves the quality of the product, but it enhances the quality of the workplace for team members.
