Precision farming allows farmers to exercise extreme control over every aspect of a farming operation from planting to harvesting. This collection and exchange system uses a passive relay device for equipment to pass relevant data through an online farming data exchange. These two pieces work together to capture, process, and share farming operation data at a scale that is useful for a farming business. The data includes details from individual farming operations including the type and location of the operation, the travel path for the operation, and operating parameters.
For instance, data can be collected in the following instance. A farmer uses the same piece of equipment and returns to the same field and covers the same ground again, the passive job generator can amend earlier-created electronic farm records in the database to show this second pass through. This provides a complete and accurate record within the farming operation. By providing this complete operation information, users will have the richest, most complete data set and provide better control over the entire operation. Afterall, you can’t manage what you don’t measure.
