New Jersey Patent of the Month – May 2022
When you don’t know what you’re doing, you call someone who does. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to know who that person should be. Picking a contractor or a mechanic can be stressful and you might not be able to tell if they did a quality job. While word of mouth is one way to get an opinion on a contractor, your standards may differ from someone else’s. AppSure, Inc. has developed a system that allows contractors to capture a project from inception to completion, making it possible for the work and craftsmanship to speak for itself.
This application (mobile, desktop, tablet etc.) captures the entire process, milestone by milestone. While capturing a range of data types including video, photo, and voice data, a full scope of work completed can be stitched together. By tracking and displaying this process, it’s easier to build trust with potential clients and there’s an added benefit of keeping current clients as up to date as possible.
The app uses stencils to help align frames between different photos to create clear and aesthetic time lapses, rather than having odd jumps or moving pieces. This merging is achieved using algorithms to blend them together as seamlessly as possible. This way, you don’t need to be a professional photographer to get a beautiful outcome.
Are you developing new technology for an existing application? Did you know your development work could be eligible for the R&D Tax Credit and you can receive up to 14% back on your expenses? Even if your development isn’t successful your work may still qualify for R&D credits (i.e. you don’t need to have a patent to qualify). To find out more, please contact a Swanson Reed R&D Specialist today or check out our free online eligibility test.
