Instead of relying on brute computational force, the system introduces intentional cache misses as the primary bottleneck—making it inherently inefficient for ASICs and GPUs to optimize away the challenge. This clever use of processor cache behavior means that even standard hardware can compete, returning blockchain mining to its democratic roots.
The method works by first hashing incoming blockchain transaction data, then using that hash to drive a randomized table lookup process. This database table is intentionally sized beyond cache limits, ensuring memory access patterns remain unpredictable. With each cycle of lookup and bit manipulation, the algorithm generates a proof-of-work result that must meet a predetermined target. The process is repeatable, measurable, and verifiable—but crucially, it can’t be shortcut with specialized hardware.
