North Dakota Patent of the Month – September 2022

Going to the gym helps us work towards our health and fitness goals. Better yet, having a home gym makes it even more convenient to reach them. However, space tends to be an issue and having equipment, such as a weightlifting bench, can be hard to store. Conventional benches are relatively large and require a significant amount of storage space. They also tend to be heavy, making it difficult to relocate.

PRx Performance, LLC strives to provide consumers with unique exercise products that make their fitness journey easier and more enjoyable. They manufacture a variety of tools such as racks, bars, dumbbells and accessories. Their main focus is designing and assembling innovative workout equipment that lasts.

The team at PRx Performance, LLC sought to develop a solution that would enable individuals with home gyms to adequately store weightlifting benches without sacrificing space. Their development consists of a retractable wall mounted bench that can easily fold and be stored vertically against the wall. It is mounted by brackets consisting of rigid steel material to ensure it is securely attached to the wall. The bench can be extended and retracted easily and can be adjusted to any incline, making this an ideal piece of equipment for all fitness enthusiasts, regardless of space constraints.
