Oklahoma Patent of the Month – February 2022

Sometimes you take your dog for a walk only for them to get into a river or a mud pile. Most likely, you don’t want to bring your pet into your house when they’re covered in mud. Especially since they like to shake themselves dry. Unfortunately, a quick bath with the hose is not always sufficient. For instance, if it’s raining, the hose will be no help. Grig Systems, LLC has designed a portable pet drying system that can make this process easier for you and your pet.

The drying device has a deconstructable frame with a water resistant cover. When you wish to use it, you simply connect the frame together and attach the cover. It’s also designed with a “stow away” position where the frame can be folded up rather than disconnected. This can make it easier to store and quicker to set up.

The dog, or other pet, can be guided into the drying chamber through an opening on one side. Inside of the chamber, the frame can support a fan and water hose. This way, the pet can be bathed within the water-resistant enclosure, spraying the pet down until the mud is gone. A fan can create air flow, effectively creating a safe blow dryer for your pet. This can be used outside without being concerned about the dog getting back into the mud. It can also make it possible to dry your dog inside without them splashing water all over your furniture. A little at home grooming system can improve walks, so you have less concern about the mess they may get into.
