This riser system is designed to eliminate the consequences associated with damage to the annular system while maintaining the availability of critical safety systems. It comprises a riser adapter with an inner surface defining an interior space and a stop shoulder, along with a ram that moves between retracted and extended positions. The system facilitates reciprocation and rotation of a drillpipe or workstring, eliminating damage to the upper annular blowout preventer and allowing it to function as intended.

The design includes a polished bore receptacle deployed into the riser adapter, with specific features to secure it in place. Additionally, the system incorporates seal system subs on a string, arranged to isolate an annular space in the wellbore operation. Optional components like boost and choke lines with respective valves are included to control pressure within the wellbore.
