Flint, Michigan Patent of the Year – 2024/2025

Franco Intelligent Agent Solutions has been awarded the 2024/2025 Patent of the Year for innovation in medical diagnostics. Their invention, detailed in U.S. Patent No. 12178578, titled ‘Urodynamic device and procedure’, introduces a simplified, wireless method for evaluating bladder function without the discomfort and complexity of current techniques.

This next-generation urodynamic device replaces traditional catheters and tubing with a small, biocompatible sensor system that collects real-time data from inside the bladder. The sensor wirelessly transmits pressure readings, flow rates, and other critical measurements to an external device, helping clinicians diagnose urinary conditions with greater ease and accuracy.

The system aims to make bladder testing more comfortable for patients while saving time and resources in clinical settings. Because it eliminates the need for external wiring or permanent installations, it offers more flexibility during testing and can be used in both hospital and outpatient environments.

By streamlining the procedure, the technology could encourage more frequent and early urological assessments, especially for aging populations or patients with chronic bladder issues. It reduces the burden on healthcare providers and lowers the barrier to entry for important diagnostic testing.

Franco Intelligent Agent Solutions’ breakthrough paves the way for smarter, patient-centered tools in urology, setting a new standard for how clinicians understand and manage bladder health.
