Spartanburg, South Carolina Patent of the Year – 2024/2025

Carpet Cleaner America LLC has been awarded the 2024/2025 Patent of the Year for its innovative surface cleaning attachment system. Their invention, detailed in U.S. Patent Application No. 20240237867, titled ‘Surface cleaning attachment system’, introduces a modular solution that enhances the functionality of industrial surface agitators by integrating spraying and vacuuming capabilities.

This attachment system features a spraying module equipped with a sprayer housing and assembly, including a manifold and multiple nozzles for even distribution of cleaning solutions. Coupled with this is a vacuum module that is adjustably mounted to the front plate of the sprayer housing, allowing vertical movement to accommodate various surface heights. The vacuum module includes a glide assembly with a glide plate and wheels, ensuring smooth operation across different floor types.

Designed for ease of use, the system is removably couplable to the agitator housing of an industrial surface agitator, facilitating quick attachment and detachment. This design streamlines the cleaning process by combining agitation, spraying, and vacuuming into a single pass, reducing the need for multiple machines and steps. The innovation is particularly beneficial for commercial cleaning applications, offering efficiency and adaptability in maintaining various floor surfaces.
