The Conservation Partners Program is available to support habitat conservation professionals and assist in building partnerships among:
- U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service
- The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)
- Other regional/initiative specific partners
Funding from this program may be used for:
- Natural resource conservation planning
- Discipline specific expertise:
– Aquatics
– Forestry
– Ecology
– Wetlands
– Wildlife
- Development of science-based tools
– Wildlife habitat evaluation guidelines
– Wildlife habitat management guidelines
– NRCS conservation practice implementation guidelines
- Facilitating integration of science and technologies into conservation initiatives
- Technical assistance
- Farm Bill program and Marketing
Eligible participants may submit an application electronically on the NFWF website. Awards may range between $50,000 and $10 million available to:
- Educational institutions
- Local governments
- Nonprofits
- State/Territorial Agencies
- Tribal Agencies
