The Conservation Partners Program is available to support habitat conservation professionals and assist in building partnerships among:

  • U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service
  • The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)
  • Other regional/initiative specific partners

Funding from this program may be used for:

  • Natural resource conservation planning
  • Discipline specific expertise:

– Aquatics
– Forestry
– Ecology
– Wetlands
– Wildlife

  • Development of science-based tools

– Wildlife habitat evaluation guidelines
– Wildlife habitat management guidelines
– NRCS conservation practice implementation guidelines

  • Facilitating integration of science and technologies into conservation initiatives
  • Technical assistance
  • Farm Bill program and Marketing

Eligible participants may submit an application electronically on the NFWF website. Awards may range between $50,000 and $10 million available to:

  • Educational institutions
  • Local governments
  • Nonprofits
  • State/Territorial Agencies
  • Tribal Agencies
