Wyoming Patent of the Month – February 2021

Raven SR LLC has been working on a method to convert waste stream gases to hydrogen-rich syngas. They plan on using the syngas to for one of three reasons: (1) production of renewable H2 fuel, (2) to feed an exothermic hydrocarbon synthesis reactor, or (3) to use a portion of this syngas to drive a fuel cell to power the plant. Their design does not require combustion, instead using steam or CO2-reforming chemistry. Removing the need for combustion means there is no need to burn the waste or the syngas and consume oxygen and have large carbon dioxide emissions.

Using highly exothermic reactors can produce high-grade useful energy and can convert syngas with enough exothermicity to make large amounts of electricity, steam and heat. This design contributes to the control or elimination of the emissions of greenhouse gases with the goal of producing energy in the future carbonless world economy.

About Raven SR

Raven SR’s mission is to turn pollution into green energy, cleanly, efficiently and profitably. Raven SR’s vision is a world where waste and pollution become fuel, and where fuel doesn’t create more waste and pollution. Raven SR is poised to revolutionize the waste to energy, renewable fuels, and clean hydrogen businesses. Their systems are non-combustion, resulting in a cleaner process and higher efficiencies.

Are you developing new technology? Did you know your development work could be eligible for the R&D Tax Credit and you can receive up to 14% back on your expenses? Even if your development isn’t successful your work may still qualify for R&D credits (i.e. you don’t need to have a patent to qualify). To find out more, please contact a Swanson Reed R&D Specialist today or check out our free online eligibility test.
