U.S. Patent Application No. 20250148483, titled ‘System, method and process for product authentication and verification’, outlines a method that uses NFC tags and cryptographic verification to ensure product authenticity.
How It Works
Each product receives a unique identifier stored on a blockchain ledger. An NFC tag, embedded with a tap-specific URL and cryptographic data, is affixed to the item. When scanned by a smartphone or compatible device, the tag directs the user to a verification page. The system then confirms the product’s authenticity and logs the interaction on the blockchain, creating an immutable record.
