Golf should be a leisurely way to get some exercise in while enjoying a game. While a golf cart may offer a convenient method for getting around the golf course and carting a golf bag, renting them can be quite expensive and also removes nearly any exercise from the day. Sun Mountain Sports, Inc. has designed a more reasonable alternative, combining bicycles with golf carts to provide a more cost effective way to get around the course.
Their golf bag cycle is pedal powered and motor assisted. Their design is lightweight and capable of comfortably storing a traditional golf bag between the rider’s legs, or storing a larger one on the back. The rider can power the bike as they would any traditional bike, or have an electrical power-assist motor contribute. This ensures a golfer can traverse any part of the course including hills and slopes. If they get tired at any point, they can use the assisted motor to ease their ride.
