Nevada Patent of the Month – June 2023

Park it Here, LLC is committed to providing RV and boat owners with parking beyond the dirt and blacktops. They have developed a management system which aids in the storage, parking, and delivery of recreational vehicles.

RVs are often large and cumbersome to park and store. To address these issues, Park It Here’s automated management system simplifies the process of managing RVs in storage facilities. This cutting-edge system eliminates the need for manual intervention and provides a safe and efficient solution for RV owners and storage facility operators alike.

The system uses a block unit to receive the RV. Each block unit is connected to a delivery system which transports the RV to and from the unit. To facilitate movement, a first turntable is integrated with the delivery housing, enabling the RV to be delivered or received smoothly.

A rail and sensor system is strategically laid out to provide a movement system from block unit to turntable. These sensors ensure precise positioning and safe transportation within the facility. Notably, the delivery housing is equipped with adjustable portions that automatically adapt to the dimensions of the RV. This flexibility allows the system to accommodate various sizes and configurations, including wheel bases and hitch components.

Recreational vehicle sensors positioned near the first turntable play a vital role in identifying the size and type of the RV, triggering the extensions in the adjustable portions accordingly. This ensures a secure fit and eliminates the risk of damage during transportation.

The delivery housing is equipped with a sensor that guides its movement on the rails, further streamlining the process. Additionally, the system can support multiple delivery housings, each specifically designed to accommodate differently sized RVs. This versatility caters to the diverse needs of RV owners and storage facility operators.

The benefits of this automated management system are numerous. RV owners gain peace of mind knowing that their vehicles are stored safely and efficiently, while storage facility operators can optimize their operations by offering a fully automated solution all while reducing risk of damage.
