Wisconsin Patent of the Month – March 2022

With the increase in environmental awareness, recycling has become an accepted part of our day-to-day society. Unfortunately, one of the main limiting factors is the annoyance of sorting different materials and the space it takes to support these multiple bins. Recyclaholics, LLC is set on simplifying this process to bring more individuals and businesses on board with recycling.

One of these solutions includes a newly designed expanding and contracting recycling bin. It’s made of multiple collapsible bins which connect to each other using magnets and fasteners. This design allows one bin at a time to be expanded while the remaining bins remain collapsed. The bins themselves are fabricated from recycled materials. They are then treated with solar sensitive dyes to create a visual indicator of which bin to use while remaining environmentally friendly.

Recylaholics designs these innovative sustainable solutions to aid any business that wants to go green. Through the development of nature-based products made of recycled or compostable materials they can help hasten the evolution of environmentally-responsible business practices.
