Moisture control is an underrated but completely crucial component to most industries. Dessicare, Inc. has developed a reputation of novel solutions that meet the challenges of atmospheric packaging business – where humidity and moisture control is particularly important.

Dessicare has recently been granted a patent for one of their humidity control system, highlighting the novelty and innovation at the core. Their system overcomes traditional moisture control limitations. For instance, typically, a humidity packet is placed inside a package to control humidity within the container. Unfortunately, this can be unsafe if the packet is torn and the contents cover the package. Then the user might breathe in the contents or even get it on their skin. Not only is this unsafe for users, it renders the moisture control ineffective.
Instead, Dessicare has designed their system to use a small container with a cap. The cap has a retention cavity along the inner surface which can hold the packet of humidity controlling substances – for instance, silica gel or montmorillonite clay. The cap and container are made from more rigid materials, like plastic or glass, to create a more durable packaging than a traditional paper packet. With this achieved, humidity can be more reliably and safely controlled.
