Oklahoma Patent of the Month – December 2023

Stone Table LLC is familiar with the complexities of cement and similar materials. While they offer a great deal of strength and durability, mixing the product is often a limiting factor in scaling production. In response to this, the company has designed a portable cement mixer.

The portable mixer allows for specific ratios of cement slurry to be mixed and brought to location with ease. Precision controls, including a scale in the mixing chamber and sensor-based control operations, allow any user to specify the weight of each ingredient before mixing away. A damping apparatus dissipates vibrations, ensuring these will not interfere with the weighing process. Additional sensors control water flow rate into the chamber for further precision.

The system allows the storage of previous formulas – for the rapid production of standard concrete mixes – or the manual entry of new measurements for custom formulas. A portable cement mixer allows users to respond to and adapt their construction needs on the site with minimal impact to production time or cost.

Are you developing new technology for an existing application? Did you know your development work could be eligible for the R&D Tax Credit and you can receive up to 14% back on your expenses? Even if your development isn’t successful your work may still qualify for R&D credits (i.e. you don’t need to have a patent to qualify).
