South Carolina Patent of the Month – February 2023

Origin Point Brands, LLC, a company that produces fencing solutions, has come up with an innovative way of prefabricating and assembling fencing panels with minimal hassle. The fencing industry has long sought a method of producing modular fencing panels that are prefabricated off-site for easier installation, with minimal assembly time and labor. Additionally, the fencing panels should be able to be easily and aesthetically adjusted to fit in with changing installation plans, or to replace damaged sections.

In response to these needs, Origin Point Brands developed a modular fencing solution that includes connectors that are advantageously shaped. The connectors have a concavity and a convexity on the upper and lower sides, respectively. They are also designed to have a bore that can fit a post. This unique design allows for the fencing panels to be easily installed without propping up each panel manually, as is the case with traditional fencing panel systems.

The innovative design of these prefabricated fencing panels also allows for modularity, ensuring that they can be easily adjusted to fit new installation plans or accommodate changing landscapes. Additionally, the panels come in various configurations, including vinyl, steel, aluminum, wood, and chain link. The fencing panel may also include horizontal rails and vertical pickets, with posts that can be fitted through the bore of the connectors and attached to a pointed stake.

The new fencing panels provide an aesthetically pleasing and efficient solution that is easy to install and maintain, with a minimal need for labor, time, and expense. The new fencing panels provide an excellent option for any individual or company looking to improve their fencing solution, with easy installation and maintenance, and minimal labor and costs.
