Oklahoma and the R&D Tax Credit
Oklahoma currently does not offer a state-level Research and Development tax credit, as its previous program officially expired in 2013. However, businesses operating and innovating within the state still have excellent opportunities for substantial financial savings. Oklahoma companies remain fully eligible to claim the federal R&D tax credit for developing new products, processes, or software. Furthermore, qualified startups generating under five million dollars in gross receipts can apply this federal credit to offset up to five hundred thousand dollars in annual payroll taxes. Additionally, the state provides strong alternative economic incentives like the Quality Jobs Program, which rewards job creation.

Our Fees
