The U.S. Patent No. 12433551 was recently granted to Egg Medical Inc. . Its title is ‘Display device for reducing radiation exposure to medical personnel’. The system features a transparent radiation barrier attached to the patient support platform. This movable shield protects physicians and technicians during fluoroscopy procedures.
Crucially, the transparent material functions as an integrated computer display. This screen can overlay patient data and live X-ray images directly onto the protective barrier. The innovation drastically reduces occupational radiation exposure for interventional teams. Staff can monitor vital signs and imaging data without looking away from the procedure. This seamless data integration promises to improve both safety and efficiency in procedure rooms globally.
