Hawaii and the R&D Tax Credit
The Hawaii Tax Credit for Research Activities is an incentive available to corporations and flow-through entities. While your details show an expiration date of December 31, 2024, please note that recent legislation officially extended this sunset date to December 31, 2029. To qualify for this state-level credit, taxpayers must have already claimed and received the federal research tax credit. Additionally, applicants are strictly required to submit a certified, written statement detailing their prior-year qualified research expenses and the exact amount of tax credits claimed by March 31st of each filing year. Any unused credits cannot be carried forward.

Our Fees
