Agricultural commerce is entering a more efficient era thanks to a new digital marketplace solution. Bushel Inc. has secured U.S. Patent No. 12,541,791, titled ‘Qualitative commodity matching’ to modernize how buyers and sellers trade essential goods. This technology simplifies complex supply chains by matching specific seller offers with buyer requirements automatically.
Smater Trades Through Automation
The invention introduces a system that processes marketing plans from both commodity sellers and buyers. Instead of manual negotiations, a centralized processor evaluates a pool of sellers to satisfy a buyer’s specific needs. The system then generates legal contracts instantly. This method reduces the administrative burden that often slows down regional and global trade.
Precision and Real-World Impact
Standard commodity trading often relies on broad categories that overlook unique quality traits. This patent allows for increased specificity, ensuring that buyers receive products meeting exact standards. Sellers benefit from a platform that highlights their unique offerings to the most relevant buyers. By digitizing these interactions, the platform creates a more transparent and stable environment for the entire agricultural industry.
Streamlining the Supply Chain
The technology acts as a bridge between fragmented data points in the marketplace. It effectively removes the “”guesswork”” from finding reliable partners. This innovation helps participants manage risk and secure better financial outcomes. As digital adoption grows, tools like this will be vital for maintaining efficient food and resource networks.

What is the R&D Tax Credit?
The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit (or R&D Tax Credit), is a general business tax credit under Internal Revenue Code section 41 for companies that incur research and development (R&D) costs in the United States. The credits are a tax incentive for performing qualified research in the United States, resulting in a credit to a tax return. For the first three years of R&D claims, 6% of the total qualified research expenses (QRE) form the gross credit. In the 4th year of claims and beyond, a base amount is calculated, and an adjusted expense line is multiplied times 14%. Click here to learn more.
