3Spine Inc. is revolutionizing how surgeons approach complex spinal conditions with a breakthrough method for structural realignment. U.S. Patent Application No. 20260041564, titled ‘Spinal realignment and arthrodesis’, reveals a sophisticated system designed to restore natural balance to the human frame. This innovation targets patients suffering from degenerative conditions that cause the vertebrae to shift out of alignment. Unlike traditional methods, this approach focuses on precise geometry to ensure long-term stability and pain relief.

Precision Engineering for Better Posture

The core of the invention involves a unique surgical process that corrects the sagittal balance of the spine. Surgeons can use specialized instruments to create specific bone cuts, known as osteotomies, with mathematical precision. These cuts allow the spine to be moved back into its ideal anatomical position. This realignment is critical for reducing the physical strain on the back and legs. By restoring the correct curvature, the technology helps patients stand taller and move with greater ease.

Integrated Support and Stability

Once the spine is realigned, the system uses advanced implants to maintain this new position. These components work together to provide immediate structural support while encouraging natural bone growth. The patent describes a harmonious interaction between the surgical tools and the permanent hardware. This integration ensures that the realignment is not just temporary but leads to a permanent, healthy fusion.

Transforming Patient Outcomes

This technology represents a major leap forward in spine care by simplifying complex reconstructive procedures. It reduces the guesswork involved in traditional surgery, potentially leading to faster recovery times for patients. By focusing on the functional unit of the spine, the design addresses the root cause of instability. This mission-driven innovation aims to set a new global standard for spinal health and patient mobility.

What is the R&D Tax Credit?

The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit (or R&D Tax Credit), is a general business tax credit under Internal Revenue Code section 41 for companies that incur research and development (R&D) costs in the United States. The credits are a tax incentive for performing qualified research in the United States, resulting in a credit to a tax return. For the first three years of R&D claims, 6% of the total qualified research expenses (QRE) form the gross credit. In the 4th year of claims and beyond, a base amount is calculated, and an adjusted expense line is multiplied times 14%. Click here to learn more.
