A pioneering medical discovery is set to transform how we detect brain trauma and long-term cognitive decline. BRAINBox Solutions, Inc. has secured a new patent for an objective blood-based testing system. This technology identifies specific biological markers to accurately diagnose head injuries and neurodegenerative conditions.
A Precision Lens for the Brain
Traditional concussion diagnosis often relies on subjective symptoms or expensive imaging that may miss subtle damage. U.S. Patent No. 12560619, titled ‘Methods and compositions for diagnosing brain injury or neurodegeneration’, introduces a more precise alternative. The system measures protein levels in the blood, such as synuclein beta, to pinpoint neurological changes. This method offers a clear, data-driven view of a patient’s brain health.
Real-World Impact and Recovery
The invention supports clinicians in making critical decisions about patient care. By analyzing these biomarkers, the test can predict the severity of an injury and track recovery over time. It serves as a vital tool for athletes, accident victims, and elderly patients. This innovation helps ensure that individuals receive the right treatment before symptoms worsen or become chronic.
Future of Neurological Care
Beyond immediate trauma, the patented method shows promise in monitoring long-term brain health. It bridges the gap between emergency care and ongoing neurology. This breakthrough brings us closer to a world where brain injuries are as easy to diagnose as a common infection. BRAINBox Solutions, Inc. continues to lead the way in making brain health assessments accessible and objective for everyone.

What is the R&D Tax Credit?
The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit (or R&D Tax Credit), is a general business tax credit under Internal Revenue Code section 41 for companies that incur research and development (R&D) costs in the United States. The credits are a tax incentive for performing qualified research in the United States, resulting in a credit to a tax return. For the first three years of R&D claims, 6% of the total qualified research expenses (QRE) form the gross credit. In the 4th year of claims and beyond, a base amount is calculated, and an adjusted expense line is multiplied times 14%. Click here to learn more.
