The new garment, developed by Koos Medical Innovations LLC , addresses this long-standing issue.
A No-Gap Design Revolution
The innovation centers on a patented neck protector. This shielding strip extends from the gown’s front neckline. It is only partially attached to the main body portion. This attachment creates a consistent neck gap or distance around the neck and shoulders. U.S. Patent No. 12478122, titled ‘Personal protection gown with frontal coverage’, details this feature. This unique gap is crucial for flexibility.
The design ensures the gown meets Zone A coverage standards. Zone A is the critical protection area. The protector includes long extension straps. These straps secure the gown at the user’s back using simple fasteners like ties, clips, or adhesive strips. This allows wearers of different sizes to achieve a snug fit. It eliminates the protective gaps common in older designs. The gown material is often a continuous unwoven or plastic material. This allows for tear-away removal after use. This gown represents a significant step forward in simplifying personal protective equipment.

What is the R&D Tax Credit?
The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit (or R&D Tax Credit), is a general business tax credit under Internal Revenue Code section 41 for companies that incur research and development (R&D) costs in the United States. The credits are a tax incentive for performing qualified research in the United States, resulting in a credit to a tax return. For the first three years of R&D claims, 6% of the total qualified research expenses (QRE) form the gross credit. In the 4th year of claims and beyond, a base amount is calculated, and an adjusted expense line is multiplied times 14%. Click here to learn more.
