Minnesota Patent of the Month – April 2023

Ilesovi, Inc designs biometric and electromechanical anti-theft purses to protect all your personal items. Recently, the company has patented their high security purse designs, discouraging theft and injury during theft, while protecting the items inside and aiding in their recovery if stolen.

The new purse is designed with a rigid endoskeleton, a lock with biometric sensors, and a GPS tracking feature. Additionally, the purse includes a quick-release cross-body shoulder strap that provides versatility in fashion styles.

Ilesovi’s invention combines integrated technologies, using biometric locks to ensure you can never be locked out of your own purse. The biometric sensor is programmed to allow the lock assembly to achieve the unlocked state only when the input provided corresponds with an authorized user. In the event of theft, the items inside are difficult to access, and the purse can be tracked to aid in the quick capture of the thief. Additionally, the shoulder strap can detach when a force threshold is exceeded to protect against collarbone injury of the wearer. The interior layer is made with rigid cables and a slash-resistant inner lining so that thieves cannot cut their way in.
