On Demand Pharmaceuticals Setting up HQ in Maryland
After receiving a contract with the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services, On Demand Pharmaceuticals (ODP) will be setting up their new headquarters in Montgomery County, MD. Alongside headquarters, this location will be used for their new Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing, and research and development.
ODP is renowned for the Pharmacy on Demand (PoD) technology which allows for rapid production of pharmaceuticals using key starting materials. With their new headquarters they want to expand this on demand manufacturing and develop key starting materials that can be produced domestically. Following the global pandemic, ODP’s technology could be breakthrough technology for healthcare workers around the world. The flexibility of the PoD system means it can be used to rapidly produce pharmaceuticals in nearly any condition. Now ODP can scale up their production and their research into key starting materials to produce low volumes of in demand drugs.
