New York and the R&D Tax Credit
New York provides valuable Research and Development tax credits through targeted economic initiatives rather than a universal program. The Excelsior Jobs Program offers a fully refundable credit up to fifty percent of the federal credit for state expenses, capped at six percent of qualified research expenditures, or eight percent for green projects. Additionally, the Life Sciences Research and Development Tax Credit targets new businesses, providing refundable credits of fifteen or twenty percent based on employee count, capped at five hundred thousand dollars annually. Both programs require Empire State Development certification. Furthermore, businesses remain eligible for the federal research tax credit.

Our Fees
