Texas Patent of the Month – December 2025
Data security is entering a new era as researchers find ways to merge classical cryptography with quantum efficiency. Anametric, Inc. recently secured U.S. Patent No. 12500774, titled ‘Systems and methods for generating and implementing a reversible hash circuit.’ This breakthrough offers a smarter way to handle the complex mathematical functions that protect our digital world.
A New Approach to Digital Fingerprints
Traditional hash functions act like one-way streets for data. They turn information into unique digital fingerprints that are nearly impossible to reverse. However, Anametric’s invention introduces a reversible hash circuit. This system transforms standard hash representations into a specialized set of reversible gates. By mapping these functions to new structures, the technology allows for more flexible data processing. This method bridges the gap between today’s security needs and tomorrow’s quantum computing demands.
Enhancing Scalability and Speed
The patent outlines a clear path for scaling these complex circuits. It uses a processor-led method to obtain and transform hash functions into optimized representations. This approach removes many of the bottlenecks found in current cryptographic systems. High-performance computing and secure communications will benefit most from these streamlined designs. Because the system uses active logic mapping, it reduces the computational heavy lifting usually required for such tasks.
Real-World Impact on Cybersecurity
As cyber threats evolve, hardware-level innovation becomes vital. Anametric’s reversible circuit design provides a robust framework for data integrity and authentication. This technology ensures that security protocols remain efficient even as datasets grow larger. By modernizing the foundation of hashing, the company is setting a new standard for resilient R&D in the tech sector.

What is the R&D Tax Credit?
The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit (or R&D Tax Credit), is a general business tax credit under Internal Revenue Code section 41 for companies that incur research and development (R&D) costs in the United States. The credits are a tax incentive for performing qualified research in the United States, resulting in a credit to a tax return. For the first three years of R&D claims, 6% of the total qualified research expenses (QRE) form the gross credit. In the 4th year of claims and beyond, a base amount is calculated, and an adjusted expense line is multiplied times 14%. Click here to learn more.
