Brain Neurotherapy Collaborates with AskBio

Brain Neurotherapy Bio, Inc. (BNB) has collaborated with Asklepios BioPharmaceutical, Inc. (AskBio) to tackle treatment of neurodegenerative disorders. BNB’s clinical team will be bringing their two active clinical programs to development efforts in Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy (MSA). BNB offers proprietary delivery technologies and unique clinical expertise in CNS indications, including the clinical translation and development of neurotrophic factor gene therapy for the treatment of neurological conditions.

BNB is a startup biotechnology company that focuses on the development of gene therapies and associated technologies to treat neurological conditions. AskBio is a gene therapy company dedicated to developing AAV gene therapies for genetic disorders.

As an integrated unit of AskBio, BNB will continue to lead the development of gene therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. They will continue their clinical stage glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) gene therapy programs for Parkinson’s disease and MSA. They hope this collaboration will accelerate clinical development of their gene therapy programs. Their future goals include advancing the innovative technology to broaden gene therapy beyond diseases caused by a single gene to complex pathway disorders.
