Mining With Exyn Technologies’ Drones

Pennsylvania startup, Exyn Technologies, officially opened an office in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada at the NORCAT Underground Centre. This is the startup’s first international office. Exyn Technologies, coming from the University of Pennsylvania’s GRASP Lab, plans to assist in mining in Northern Ontario with the help of its drones. With the drones, the startup will be able to assist in reaching areas that were previously unreachable due to worker safety.

The drones are fully automated for all of their missions. They are designed to operate in areas where GPS is not accessible and have the ability to navigate any environment. The drones can scan and analyse their surroundings and collect valuable data for the advancements in mining processes and important decision making. They’ll be invaluable for increased efficiency and worker safety. Exyn Technologies is looking to grow their company even more and continue to expand to assist in mining operations across Canada.
