GridFlow Wins Fargo Regional Pitch Comp

GridFlow has won the Startup World Cup Regional Pitch Competition in New Mexico. This win secures GridFlow’s position in the global competition in San Francisco.

The New Mexico Regional Pitch Competition was held at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center. The startup pitched against 9 other companies.

GridFlow is developing lithium-sulfur flow battery technology licensed from Sandia National Labs. The startup was founded just a few months ago after CEO Chuck Call went through Boost, a program to connect startups, labs, and academics to solve energy issues.

The battery technology GridFlow is developing is a way to address growing energy demands that are straining the nation’s aging power grid. It’s a home battery, operating off the grid.

GridFlow hopes to launch its product around 2026, according to the company’s pitch deck.

The Startup World Cup is the largest startup competition globally, offering startups a chance to win a $1 million investment. The 2024 pitch will take place October 4th in San Francisco.
