Nexus Louisiana and LSU Launch New Small Business Accelerator

Louisiana has a new accelerator hoping to encourage and help startups. Ignition, launched by Nexus Louisiana and LSU, will offer an 8-week entrepreneurial accelerator program with mentors, access to industry experts, andup to $3,000 in funding.

“Ignition is ideal for entrepreneurs, dreamers, risk-takers and anyone who has a business idea seeking to prove or disprove their product or service viability,” said Nexus Louisiana Technology Park Executive Director Stephen Loy. “Our goal is to help entrepreneurs keep from investing significant resources into an idea that might not be viable. We would rather someone decide whether their business idea will work early in the process, than find out after they have mortgaged their home.”

Aimed at seeing if your idea is viable before committing to a hefty investment of time and money, Ignition will provide hands-on training and a step-by-step design process to enhance your chance at success.
