Workshop Startup Raises $3.5M for Internal Communications Platform

Workshop, a Nebraska-based software startup, has secured $3.5 million in funding during a seed round. Various venture funds and angel investors contributed to the company, the majority of whom are local or regional. Workshop plans to use the funds to build out their team and further develop their product.

Workshop is an internal communications platform for companies. They pride themselves on being the “bridge between your company’s always-on instant messaging and always-outdated knowledge base.” Their system offers a method to enhance team engagement, alignment , and productivity by keeping everyone on the same page. Having easy access to updates is vital to a company’s success, but often get drowned out in hundreds of emails and chats. Workshop aims to build a best-in-class tool to replace all the ad-hoc methods used.
