Chemence Opens new R&D Facility in Georgia

Alpharetta, GA welcomes the Chemence Center of Excellence, a new R&D facility for the adhesive company. Chemence, Inc. are experts in adhesive, with products that work for virtually any field.

They work to develop customized polymerizing technology – liquids that cure into solids. The new 30,000 ft2 building will offer space for R&D on new materials and adhesive formulas. They have also set aside space specifically for an analytical lab, a bulk materials testing room, an environmental conditioning room, and an applications area set to mimic customer production lines for testing.

Chemence explains that they have been heavily investing in their technology team to meet their growth targets, especially in the medical and performance industries. To help out, they obtained some pretty impressive equipment like universal tensile testers and an array of analytical tools such as FTIR spectrometers. Michael Pmykala, VP of technology said, “We have an elite team of scientists and engineers working to drive innovation in our customers’ strategic markets. This world-class technology center now provides the environment and tools needed to help continue driving new, quality products to market”.
