They use a natural language processing (NLP) AI concept to mine scientific literature in real-time. Agricultural biotech is limited by their inconsistent gene-naming standards. However, using Mercury Data Science’s proprietary app, researchers can easily search through literature for plant genetic specifics. An NLP platform which automatically processes newly published literature for more insight on a topic represents a great opportunity to accelerate research in any area.
